4.000 Meilen Freiheit

4,000 Miles of Freedom is a personal documentary about my first Atlantic crossing. With only a handful of sailing trips behind me, I joined three friends to sail a small yacht more than 4,000 nautical miles from the Caribbean to Europe. What sounded like an adventure quickly became a journey of endurance, uncertainty and personal growth.
Far from land, surrounded by nothing but water and sky, my understanding of freedom began to change. The film follows the moments of doubt as much as the moments of wonder: dolphins at the bow, star-filled nights, rainbows after storms and the silence that only exists thousands of miles from the nearest shore.
4,000 Miles of Freedom is a story about friendship, sharing hardship, embracing unexpected opportunities and discovering what happens when a dream slowly becomes reality.
